ETCH GOLD ("Aqua Regia") ETCH FINE SILVER & STERLING SILVER PATINA FOR SILVER BRIGHT DIP FOR ALL NON-FERROUS METAL PICKLE  or IS IT GOLD?
Make a scratch in an inconspicuous spot with a small file. While wearing rubber gloves, use a wooden, glass or plastic stick to apply a drop of nitric acid to this spot. Observe reaction. When done, rinse everything with running water.
