| Whether you cast hundreds
of flasks a week or just a few, it's the quality of the casts that counts.
If you've been casting with other equipment, you'll immediately see a difference
in the end result a Neutec casting machine consistently produces. Its Advanced
Dynamic Computer (ADC) Technology™ keeps a metal profile of every alloy
you cast and optimizes your results every time you run the machine. Consistent
melt-and-cast cycles - for every alloy and any size load - and temperature
control within 0.3% are just two of the advantages Neutec can offer you.
A shop that casts hundreds of flasks a week to rigorous quality standards can reduce its reject rate by 80% with Neutec machines. No matter what size operation you run or how many flasks you cast, you can reduce your reject rate, boost productivity and realize immediate profits with a Neutec casting machine working for you. All Neutec casting machines share the same dual-chamber design - whether it's the reliable resistance-heated Neutec J-2R IV or one of the exceptional J-z, J-5, J-10b or J-15 induction machines. |

| Resistance heating
(Model J-2R IV) is accomplished when high-current power is applied to a
coil of heavy wire. Like an electric stove, the coil creates resistance
and gets hot. It transfers this heat to the closest object - the graphite
crucible. The hot crucible, in turn, melts the metal.
In an induction machine (all models except Model J-2R IV) , a coil also surrounds the crucible; however, the heating power applied by this coil is high-frequency energy. High-frequency energy radiates from the coil and, because the graphite crucible readily absorbs energy of this frequency (its molecules are excited by just the right frequency), it gets hot and melts the metal. The coil itself remains relatively cool. A resistance-heated machine takes about four to six times longer to melt metal than an induction machine, but a resistance machine costs less because it is much less expensive to build. The J-2R provides the same effective dual-chamber design at a price affordable for a one-man shop. |

An immersion thermocouple
provides precise temperature control protecting the integrity of the metal
for high-quality finished castings. You also get better fill at lower temperatures
so you can cast a wide selection of stones in place including Gilson opals.
An 18-turn induction coil delivers more power to the crucible. More power means faster melting and better stirring for complete alloy homogeneity. Karat values stay the same from the top of the tree to the bottom. Induction casting cycles are a fast three to five minutes, yielding 15 to 25 cast flasks per hour - an output of more than 320 kilos of 14K gold per day. |
| The inert gas atmosphere
(nitrogen or argon, indicated by the blue) prevents oxidation of the metal
from the time it is put into the crucible until the cast flask is removed
from the machine. This means cleaner casts (no porosity or discoloration
from oxidation) for quicker finishing.
The graphite crucible scavenges oxygen dissolved in the metal and converts copper oxides back to pure copper. This virtually eliminates porosity and imperfections due to oxides. It all adds up to a dramatic savings in labour and materials from a reduced number of rejects, especially those that turn up late in the finishing process. Neutec Advanced Dynamic Computer™ adaptive programming in the induction machines melts metal quickly and consistently from one cast to the next regardless of the size of the load. Consistency means you can optimize quality by fine-tuning casting parameters for each particular design or alloy. |

Large crucible size
and a large flask chamber let you produce more pieces per cast. This means
less metal in process and less per-piece investment use, adding up to significant
savings in material costs.
Bottom-pour crucible design and an optional pressure system in the induction machines get metal into the flask quickly for a more complete fill and better surfaces. The better the rough-cast quality, the shorter your finishing times will be. The Neutec NeuSprue™ sprue and base system helps the metal into the flask more quickly and with very tittle turbulence. This produces better fill and reduces the chance of investment inclusions. A lowered reject rate lets you put your resources where they deliver the most return. |

| NeuSprue™ is an important component in the Neutec/ USA systematic approach to casting. Its revolutionary design adds to the advantage that a Neutec casting machine puts into your hands. The NeuSprue sprue, with its built-in button and aerodynamic shape, facilitates a faster, more complete fill. The two-part base section, consisting of a threaded plastic holder and a bevel-edged rubber base creates a snug, airtight fit over the flask. | |
