J-z and J-zP
Casting Machines
The J-z outperforms comparably
sized casting machines costing far more and offers a large 5" x 9" flask
capacity and a 4-minute cycle time. The J-zP further enhances fill rate
and surface detail with its dynamic pressure system. Now available with
automatic cast feature. 184 cc crucible. CE certified machine.
The J-z is the newest addition to the Neutec family of induction-heated casting machines. With this compact table model, you can cast 12 to 15 flasks per hour. The J-z is also available with the Dynamic Pressure System™ which improves surface detail and improves the fill rate at lower temperatures.
J-5 Casting
Machine
The J-5 operates at a commercial
pace, but is designed for manufacturing operations that require less than
maximum metal capacity and cycle speed and lower power consumption. Average
cycle time is under 4 minutes or 12–15 flasks/hour. 185 cc crucible. CE
certified machine.
The J-5 is a medium-priced, semi-automated, 5kW induction machine designed for manufacturing shops where casting is a substantial part of the business. Affordable yet full-featured, this machine can cast about 15 flasks per hour.
J-10b Casting
Machine
The J-10b, the Neutec world-renowned
original, delivers high-volume, exceptionally high-quality casting production.
With casting times of less than three minutes, the J-10b can cast 20-25
flasks/hour. 240 cc crucible.
The J-10b, our original induction machine, forms the foundation of Neutec’s reputation as the world leader in casting technology. The J-10b is a 10kW machine designed for high-quality and medium to high volume production casting. The J-10b saves you time with a production casting cycle of less than three minutes - 20 to 25 flasks per hour.
J-15 Casting
Machine
The J-15 supports high-volume
production casting where extra power is needed for faster, higher-volume
processing of sprues, buttons and alloys back into casting grain. Like
the J-10b, the J-15 cycles in under three minutes (20-25 flasks/hour),
but its alloying capacity is about 62% higher. 240/400 cc crucible.
The J-15 is a 15kW version of the J-10b, designed for high-volume casting production where the extra power is needed for fast recycling of sprues into grain. With the same casting capacity and cycle times as the J-10b, the more powerful J-15 can process sprues and buttons or alloys into casting grain 60% faster.
NeuSprue
• Advanced Sprue System
Created specifically (though
not exclusively) for Neutec casting machines, the NeuSprue system solves
many of the casting problems caused by traditional sprue and base systems.
Its cone-shaped sprue button is designed right into the sprue, and the
sprue threads through the base onto a holder for trouble-free dewaxing.

Fast and Simple
The Dynamic Variable Compensation™
feature automatically produces the fastest and most efficient melting program
for any alloy and any size load - without operator intervention. Casting
cycles average about four minutes, or 15 flasks per hour.
Low Reject Rates
Porosity and other defects
caused by oxidation are virtually eliminated. A closed-system, inert gas
atmosphere keeps oxygen away from the hot metal, and the Neutec graphite
crucible scavenges any oxygen dissolved in the metal. High-quality castings
mean far fewer rejects and lower labor and material reprocessing costs.
No Over-Karating
Neutec Power Stirring™ technology
prevents alloy ingredients from separating once the metal is molten. Power
Stirring™ continues right up to the pour, so you never have to over-karat
to get target karat values throughout the tree.
Stone-in-Wax Casting
Accurate temperature control
delivers successful stone-in-wax casting because you cast at the lowest
possible metal temperatures, reducing thermal shock to the stones. In addition
to diamonds, CZs, sapphires and rubies, you can successfully cast Gilson®
created opals, lab-grown emeralds and many other stones.
Capacity, When You Need
It
The J-z crucible is a surprisingly
large 184 cc, capable of alloying 2.7 kg of 18K or casting up to 1.6 kg
at one time with the same precision at 100 g as it does at 1000 g. The
flask size is no less impressive at a roomy 5" x 9" maximum. And learning
to use the J-z takes about 15 minutes - nothing is easier!

The J-zP delivers all the
benefits of the original J-z - plus the cast-enhancing Neutec Dynamic Pressure
System™ (DPS). Developed specifically for the J-zP, the DPS™ is a sophisticated
two-stage system that increases the fill rate at lower casting temperatures
and improves reproduction of surface detail so you have fewer rejects and
easier finishing. You will be amazed at how well this system fills small
details such as prongs and the small letters found on school rings.

The J-zP Autocast model adds
the convenience and efficiency of the Neutec automatic cast feature to
all the benefits discussed above for the J-zP induction casting machine.
Engineered specifically for the J-zP, the Autocast feature allows the machine
to sense precisely when the metal is ready for the pour. Within one half-second,
the machine automatically initiates the Dynamic Pressure System™ and activates
the casting lever. Within minutes, a tone notifies you that your cast flask
is ready to be removed.

| Research shows that casting quality improves when only casting grain is used. The ability to recycle sprues by converting them to casting grain saves you money and improves the quality of your castings. And because grain-making is so vital to successful casting, Neutec includes the grain making accessory with your J-z. | ||

| All induction casting machines need cooling water. With the J-z, you can purchase a closed-loop cooling system that contains and reuses the same water. This cooling system is built into a stand designed to match the floor dimensions of the J-z. Your machine sits directly on top of the cooler, saving space and raising the machine conveniently to eye level. | ||

| If you like the idea of a stand to raise your machine to a convenient height but do not need the self-contained cooling system, no problem. The stand is also available without the cooling system, giving you extra storage space inside instead. | ||

The ADC adaptive programming adjusts power and frequency thousands of times per second to achieve a fast, consistent casting cycle for every alloy and any size load. What’s more, the ADC maintains a metal profile for every metal you cast - and improves the timing and precision of that profile every time you cast that metal.
The PPS technology and Power Stir programming keep the molten alloy completely homogeneous from the melt through the pour. Karat values remain consistent throughout the tree so that expensive overkarating is never necessary.
During the fill, the Pressure Over Vacuum (POV) system in the J-5 provides variable pressurization specific to the size of your melt cycle and the alloy you are casting to enhance both detail and surface quality.
Training time for a J-series machine is minimal, reducing labor costs. The operator simply sets the desired casting temperature or selects a preset melting program, adds the measured amount of metal to the crucible and inserts the flask - the rest is automatic!
The J-5 delivers four-minute cycle times, allowing you to cast up to 15 flasks per hour. Its crucible capacity is 184 cc (1438 g of 14KY) and the J-5 can alloy up to 307 cc (2398 g of 14KY).

You simply roll in and set up the tank to make alloys or reprocess sprues and buttons - the grain-making tank helps make oxide-free grain and saves on refining costs. In addition, it produces the size grain best suited to Neutec machines - fast-melting grain shapes that allow your machine to operate at peak efficiency. Neutec custom grain helps reduce casting porosity and brittleness - problems that are characteristic of open-air grain-making methods.
All necessary programming for running the grain maker is built into the J-5, J-10b, and J-15 computers; adding one is as simple as aligning it with your machine! 110V/60Hz or 220V/50 Hz AC

The RC-6 is a closed-system
water cooler for Neutec J-Series casting machines. It provides the proper
temperature coolant for your casting machine in place of externally supplied
water. The RC-6 cooler is especially useful in situations where the external
water supply is inadequate or where environmental concerns restrict constant
water use and discharge.
The RC-6 operates on double bypass, fan-cooled technology that does not use freon or a compressor for cooling. The unit works with the J-5, J-10b or J-15 casting machines and assumes control of the water (coolant) and nitrogen gas supply functions for those machines. An auxiliary air-driven pump keeps coolant flowing to the casting machine in the event of an electrical outage for as long as there is remaining air pressure. When casting has stopped for the day, the RC-6 runs for an additional 30 minutes to cool down the casting machine, then automatically shuts off and turns off the nitrogen and coolant supplies to the casting machine.
In shops where ovens are in the same room as the casting machine, the RC-6 can readily be vented to the exterior of the building to remove excess warm air and maintain temperature levels inside the shop. Simply install venting available at any home improvement center.
The RC-6 has a footprint identical to the J-Series machines so it can stand on top of your casting machine to save floor space.
